The IDSA, who in 2008 came to an agreement with the Connecticut Attorney General to review their guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease, do not appear to have been acting in good faith. There is a wealth of evidence to show they have not. Continued claims by the IDSA and supporting Infectious Disease Specialists make the claim that no good scientific studies have been conducted are false and misleading. The fact is that in every case of another study coming out that adds to the massive weight of evidence for long term chronic Lyme disease, the IDSA response has not been to properly examine the evidence, but instead to try to discredit the study.
