ONE HERSHEY DRIVE, SMITHS FALLS, Ont. — Chuck Rifici is acting like a kid in, well, a chocolate factory. Last September, the CEO of Tweed Inc. was handed the keys to the shuttered Hershey’s plant in this town just south of Ottawa.
It is going to be interesting to see what the new laws will do for (or against) those who need the product but on a very tight income. Now that it is going to be illegal for individuals to grow their own medical maryjane, how will they afford it?
It is quite understandable why the government changed the laws. Somehow, organized crime got a heads up every time a legal license to grow medical weed for personal use was issued, and inevitably, the new grower got a visit from “the boys,” but has the government thought this one through?
The idea of medical MJ is to relieve suffering, not increase it…
