Letter sent to Obama tests positive for ricin, officials say

A letter addressed to President Barack Obama tested positive for the poison ricin and was from the same sender who mailed a letter to a senator that also tested positive, officials told NBC News on Wednesday.

This reporter needs to do more research.  Several antidotes for ricin have been developed, although human testing has been minimal.  Also, in most cases, if caught early, it can be successfully treated.  Just the same, it is always serious when the mail service is used to deliver potentially harmful packages, and especially when addressed to a national leader.
