Ariel Sharon — the military hero and prime minister who was among the most controversial figures in the history of Israel — has died, eight years after the massive stroke that left him comatose. He was 85.

Truly, he was a great man.  No man is right about everything, and humans are prone to changing their minds about many things as we go through life.  But regardless of whether one agrees or disagrees with him, history will concur that Ariel Sharon will stand out in the annals of human existence.
