Many want to bring politics into the equation, calling Rouhani a “moderate,” while conveniently overlooking the fact that he had to be approved by the Ayatollah, before he could even run for president. Nothing has improved or changed in Iran. Citizens must toe the hard line Islamic line or risk the noose, as happened in March to Pastor Nardarkhani.
