If the UN gets the backing of the USA for this ridiculous idea, perhaps they will remember the genocides in Rwanda and Kenya and make sure to include machetes, axes, shovels, adzes, knives, sticks, rocks, autos, and all the rest of the endless list. The UN was never supposed to become a sovereign government in its own right; it was supposed to be a groups of sovereign nations working together to create a stable world. This is heading in the direction of one world government in a big hurry.
